Our Origins
A New Beginning!
The Greenford Library is NOW OPEN owing to the determination and support of the Green Township residents . While our library had a 44 year history under the county library system, we are looking at our separation from them not as a detriment but an opportunity. Greenford Public Library Association was created in 1976 with the goal of erecting the current library building for our small rural community. Our new goal is not only to reopen our building as a library but also offer social programs for adults and senior citizens. We will also offer weekly programs for children of all ages and opportunities for homeschoolers to interact with each other.
-
Seniors can enjoy playing games, crafts and discussing their favoritebooks in a new senior book club.
-
Toddlers, elementary, middle, tween and homeschooler planned activites will cover a wide range of engagement including literacy programs, storytime, crafts, as well as Outdoor (and indoor) movie nights of NEW releases.
-
Adults will have their own “after hour” activities including crafts, MovieDate nights, trivia and bookclubs.
From this point forward our entire organization will be run on the support of volunteers and donations. If you have the ability, we would greatly appreciate any donation you could make to help us grow our library resources.
